Truly special & Swwwweet classic 60s era muscle car! The 440 CID engine & new 4 barrel carburetor combination generates 385 great sounding Horse Power. Then, the 727 Torqueflite Automatic transmission with the 8 3/4 Sure Grip Rear End 323 transfers all that power to smooth acceleration & outstanding top end performance.
Recent maintenance includes: The matching number engine assembly was cautiously removed, detail level cleaned & painted with the proper turquoise enamel. Then, the engine & compartment were prepped and finely refinished prior to installation. The entire undercarriage was refurbished. This entailed scraping off all old undercoating and replacing it with new high quality coating.
A complete tune up included: new points, cap, rotor, coil, spark plugs and wires (installed in correct looms). We installed a stainless steel fuel tank & straps, sending unit, fuel pump, sending unit & filter and completed an oil change with new oil and air filters.
The matching number transmission had a fresh rebuild and retains the original (rebuilt) torque converter. The new exhaust system was manufactured to factory specifications and includes all correct brackets and hangers and features new stainless steel exhaust tips.
Suspension: all new joints & bushings including new upper control arms, shock absorbers, leaf springs, shackles and torsion bars. Steering work included new tie rod ends and alignment.
Brakes were refurbished: new master cylinder, booster, stainless steel & rubber lines & brake shoes with new hardware. Drums were resurfaced, blasted and refinished. All wheel cylinders, wheel bearings and seals are new. Emergency Brake cables are stainless steel.
All floors were cleaned and refinished & there is new carpet and front seat upholstery.
Exterior shows well with only one previous refinish in the correct AZ paint code. Odometer shows 29,306 miles.
Title indicates 28,377 "Exceeds Mechanical Limits.” Total miles driven since the substantial restorative work is estimated at 200.
